Love is friendship.

Love is many things. Love is a hike in the rain and mud. Love is wet smelly socks. Love is dirty laundry. Love is dirty diapers. Love is cleaning up someone else’s pistachio shells. Love is not knowing what to do but to be present for someone. Love is the good times and bad. Love is being there through it all. Love is letting go. Love is not perfect. Love is messy.

Love can be sunshine and rainbows too. Especially when friends are near. This month I was blessed to spend time with three dear friends. Gina and Em visited from South Dakota. We had fun exploring Silver Falls in Silverton OR and toured the Oregon Coast. It rained 99% of the time but we laughed a lot and had fun. My friend Dawn was in Seattle for surgery. We were able to meet up with her and her husband for a great day exploring Pikes Place Market and the Aquarium.

I dedicate heart month to all of my friends. For all the laughter, joy, silliness and tears. I can’t imagine life without you. I love you.
